Pushing for Medical Marijuana

Oklahoma proponents of medical marijuana hope to collect enough signatures to put the issue on the ballot.
(KFOR)  A group of Oklahomans is working to put medical marijuana on the ballot.

The group "Oklahomans For Health" is hoping to gain enough pro-medical marijuana signatures to put the issue to a vote of the people.

They need to collect 160,000 signatures by August to reach their goal.

The effort ramped up Wednesday as the group held a kick off rally at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

Having worked in the healthcare industry, Paul says this is necessary to bring healing to many who haven't found it through traditional pharmaceuticals.

"There are thousands of Oklahomans who suffer. They either suffer every day because this isn't available or they commit a felony," he argues.
