WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Several groups are threatening to sue over the new classification of the Lesser Prairie Chicken.
Three conservation groups announced yesterday they would sue under the endangered species act because the Lesser Prairie Chicken was only listed as "threatened" and not "endangered."
The groups say because of the federal law, the animal should be further protected before they say it becomes extinct.
