Portales Man Found Guilty of Drug Trafficking

Abran Baeza sold meth to an undercover informant during a controlled buy operation by the Region V Drug Task Force.
PORTALES -- Abran Baeza, 23, was found guilty Tuesday by a Roosevelt County jury of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

Back in February of last year, Baeza sold meth to an undercover informant during a controlled buy operation by the Region V Drug Task Force.  Baeza was arrested by the Portales Police Department in July of 2013. 

Baeza escaped through the ceiling of the jail on September 27, 2013, and was apprehended the next day.

Baeza will be sentenced at a later date.
