BORGER -- For the people who had to evacuate their homes in Fritch, the family pets had to go with them.

A few places in and around the city are boarding animals for free.

Hoochy Poochy Grooming Parlor in Borger is doing what it can for people who had to leave their homes.

Evacuees can take their pets to the location at 421 E. 10th Street.

Jeff Laird, the owner of the shop, told us that he felt this was right thing to do.

Laird said people can come by to visit with their pets in privacy.

He told us the idea came to him after church on Mother's Day, as a way to aid the pet owners who are out of their homes.

You can contact the Hoochy Poochy Grooming Parlor on Facebook or by phone at 273-2724.

For folks needing a place to take livestock, they have a contact in Stinnett that can help you.

The pet groomers are also taking donations of pet supplies and food.
