(NBC News) A report from the Congressional Budget Office that finds the Affordable Care Act will cost the equivalent of more than 2 million jobs is stirring up a hornet's nest of criticism.
Republicans were quick to pounce on the "2.5 million" jobs figure, but the Congressional Budget Office says that's not the way to interpret the numbers.
"That channel you point to is in fact something that we think spurs employment and will reduce unemployment over the next few years," CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf told members of Congress Wednesday.
