New Survey Reveals Information on 2014 Job Search

Millions of Americans are searching for jobs in 2014; but according to a new survey from Beyond.com, of the 80% of those who had applied to jobs multiple times a week in 2013, fewer than 15% of them were able to secure more than five interviews for the year - and 33% said they had none at all.
Millions of Americans are searching for jobs in 2014; but according to a new survey from Beyond.com, of the 80% of those who had applied to jobs multiple times a week in 2013, fewer than 15% of them were able to secure more than five interviews for the year - and 33% said they had none at all.

The survey also looked into why different generations felt they were not getting hired and found that:

o   Gen X job seekers were most likely to blame a weak economy (62%) for their lack of employment.

o   Gen Y (the Millennial Generation) was most likely to cite a lack of work experience (55%).

o   Baby Boomers were most likely to blame age discrimination (64%) for why they're not getting the job.
