LAS VEGAS, NM -- New Mexico State Police issued an Amber Alert Tuesday evening for the two children, Michael Standingbear and James Wilkins. The children were taken by their mother, Davina Wilkins.

The suspect lost custody of the children in May of 2014. She is known to abuse drugs, specifically methamphetamine. She took the children while conducting a supervised visit with them and is in violation of a District Court Order. She did not have proper child restraints for the children in her vehicle.

Wilkins and her children, 6-month-old James WIlkins and 8-year-old Michael Standingbear, were found in Alamosa, Colorado late Tuesday evening.
The kids were unharmed and police arrested Wilkins on two counts of custodial interference.
