New Interactive Emergency Preparedness and Notification System in Texas County Oklahoma

Citizens can be reached through the website, email, SMS (text), voice calls and social media platforms.
GUYMON --  The emergency management department of Texas County official is launching its new emergency preparedness and mass notification services for citizens, ok-texascounty.civicready.com Wednesday.

Texas County partnered with CivicReady to create this new site.

This emergency communication tool and website allows emergency officials to communicate with citizens quickly and efficiently before, during and after an emergency.  Citizens can be reached through the website, email, SMS (text), voice calls and social media platforms.

Texas County Emergency Manager Harold Tyson said, "One of the main gold of my office is to better prepare the citizens of Texas County in the event of an emergency.  We have a good notification system for Texas County but I was surprised to find that some of our citizens  do not get text; some do not even have a cell phone. This new notification will help everyone in Texas County get an emergency notification."
