More Americans are planning to head out of town for the Labor Day weekend.
AAA predicts nearly 35 million people will journey 50 miles or more from home.
That is the highest volume for the holiday since 2008.
Of that number, 86-percent will hit the road traveling by car.
And nearly 8-percent of travelers will fly to their destination.
