Naked Man Flees Hospital, Arrested for Robbery and Outstanding Felony Warrants

36-year-old Russell Scott Saylor is booked into the Potter County Detention Center for two counts of robbery, along with outstanding local felony warrants for unlawful possession of a firearm and evading arrest or detention/with prior conviction.

AMARILLO – Amarillo Police arrest 36-year-old Russell Scott Saylor after he flees a hospital naked and tries to steal two vehicles.

On Saturday, Police received reports of a patient had fled from the hospital and was trying to steal cars. A second call advised that the naked man had entered Panhandle Pediatrics at 1500 S. Coulter. 

Officers found that Saylor had climbed into a false ceiling of a restroom and was attempting to hide.  He fell through to the floor and arrested by responding officers.  Saylor’s injuries were treated. 

Saylor is booked into the Potter County Detention Center for two counts of robbery, along with outstanding local felony warrants for unlawful possession of a firearm and evading arrest or detention/with prior conviction.
