Mesalands Partnering With Xcel Energy For Joint Energy-Efficiency Plan

Mesalands Community College plans to reduce its energy usage five percent by 2016.
TUCUMCARI -- Mesalands Community College recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Xcel Energy to develop and implement a Joint Energy-Efficiency Plan. 

The plan outlines multiple conservation opportunities resulting in the three year goal, for the College to reduce its electric usage by five percent by the year 2016. 

"This MOU is basically an indication of Xcel Energys intent to award us for reducing our energy consumption, by shifting to more efficient products," said Jim Morgan, Director of the North American Wind Research and Training Center at Mesalands Community College.
