Mardi Gras Wash Out

Cold rain puts a damper on parades in New Orleans as Carnival season comes to a close.
(NBC News)  Fat Tuesday celebrations in New Orleans included an unwelcomed visitor.

Cold rain was a big part of this year's Carnival in the Big Easy.

Still, many don't seem to care.

With temperatures just above freezing it's one of the coldest carnivals on record, but not cold or wet enough to cancel the party.

"We're the A team out today, these are not the light weights," laughed New Orleans resident Jimmy Delery.  "We are dedicated to this event."
