Running is said to be good for your heart, especially when you're running for a good cause.
The Madison T. Kneebusch Foundation hosted a run at Paramount Terrace Elementary School.
The run raised money to support families that have a child that's been diagnosed with cancer.
Executive Director of the MTK Foundation Levi Knebusch says, "Madison always wanted to run the Oklahoma City marathon, so when we thought of fundraisers and those kinds of things,we decided to honor her by having our own mini-marathon."
Knebusch's daughter was diagnosed with cancer in the eighth grade.
She passed away about two and a half years ago.
