Amarillo Police say a local woman got a phone call from the pair claiming to be the victim's grandson and a police officer asking for money.

AMARILLO -- Amarillo Police help catch several people they say are scamming elderly residents.

Desiree Delgado and James Colangelo, of Fontana, California were arrested after local police contacted the police in Ontario, California.

Amarillo Police say a local woman got a phone call from the pair claiming to be the victim's grandson and a police officer asking for money.

Delgado and Colangelo's arrest led to several others: Mikaela Bosch, Walter Ayala, Juan Lopez, and Jose Garcia.

Officials say they found victims in Texas, Nebraska, and California.
