AMARILLO -- Boy Scouts are hitting the trails to help out those in need by collecting non-perishable food items during the Annual Scouting for Food drive on March 22.
5,000 Scouts and volunteers will go door-to-door on March 22 to collect non-perishable food items for the High Plains Food Bank and many other local food pantries and churches for distribution to the needy.
All food remains in the area in which it is collected. If a Scout does not come to your door, donations can be brought to any United Supermarkets in the Amarillo area where you can place your items.
