Laura's Eat 'Em up Banana Bars

Laura Corder's banana bar recipe won the 2013 Arrowhead Mills Baking Contest.
Eat 'Em Up Banana Bars

Banana Bars:
2 cups Arrowhead Mills flour
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup Butter Flavor Crisco 
1 ½ cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 medium over ripe bananas (mashed)

Directions:
In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt - set aside. In a large bowl, cream together Crisco and sugar. Add the eggs, sour cream and vanilla to the sugar mixture, then gradually add dry ingredients. Stir in bananas and spread in a buttered 15 x 10 x 1 pan. Bake at 350ᵒ for 20-25 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.

Frosting:
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
½ cup butter (softened)
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Beat together the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar. Spread frosting onto cooled banana bars and sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
