The heat continues but relief is in sight. Hello folks and good Thursday morning. If you haven't had the chance to cool off from the sweltering weather this week, you only have a few days left to head out to the pool before the chance for more widespread rain comes our way.
Today, we're pretty clear this morning, with humid conditions, and we'll feel the same muggy weather this afternoon. High temperatures will hit the 90s with a few 100s out there, mainly in our northeastern counties.
High pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will keep us rainless today until this weekend.
We'll be just a few degrees hotter for Friday and Saturday, and you'll need to make sure to drink plenty of water to deal with the unseasonably hot conditions, also limit your time outdoors during the middle of the day.
On Saturday night, the high breaks down enough to allow a few storms to migrate into the Texas Panhandle but we'll get the added help of a cold front on Sunday, as temperatures start to drop down in the afternoons.
That front will stay with us for a few days, keeping storms in the area for Monday and Tuesday before the next cold front moves to us on Wednesday with another chance for rain.
Make it a great day!
