Profits sank at JPMorgan Chase.
The bank reported earnings of $5.3-billion in the first three months of the year.
That's down sharply from the same time period last year.
The bank's profits were hurt in the quarter by a slowdown in mortgages and bond trading.
But CEO Jamie Dimon remains optimistic.
In a news release, Dimon said the bank has "growing confidence in the economy."
JPMorgan chase is the nation's largest bank by assets.
