Packing up for a trip this holiday week - while you're at it pack some healthy snacks. Eating well at the start of your travels can set a healthytone for the rest of the vacation.
So what should you bring?
Something as simple as a peanut butter and honey sandwhich on whole grain bread and some fruit.
And stay hydrated by bringing water or veggies like snap peas and grape tomatoes.
Eating healthy can also keep you from getting "Hangry."
And low blood sugar levels can make all the wrong choices look oh so inviting.
To combat this, eat something nutritious every 4 hours.
So schedule a meal stop and eat a well-balanced meal before you get back on the road.
