We all know that eating right and getting enough exercise are the keys to staying fit.
But there are things you can do, overnight, that can get you on the right track to having a healthier life.
Hit the gym, push away from the table. You've heard them before. And they still hold true. Eat less, exercise more and doctors say you will feel the benefits.
But there are a few other things you can add to your life, that will make the difference the next day and for the rest of your life if you stick to them.
Here are the top three.
Drink more water. Water is the elixir of life. It nourishes the body, gives you energy and keeps your joints limber.
"Staying hydrated is a really important thing in your day to day life. Because you'll avoid symptoms like headaches, constipation and so-on."
Add fiber. Fiber is good for the digestive system. Eat more veggies, fruits and whole grains and you'll feel the benefits immediately.
"If you are constipated, if you have irritable bowel syndrome type symptoms, which are very common these days, then increasing your fiber in your diet could make you feel a lot better."
And move. That doesn't mean run around the block. It could be something as simple as getting up from your desk every hour and walking down the hall. Studies have shown that those who sit for long periods of time are more likely to develop diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease than those who move during the day.
Three tips, you can do today that will change the way you feel tomorrow.
