General Motors is ordering dealers to stop selling most Chevrolet Cruzes already on lots but they're not explaining the reason why.
A GM spokesman says models with the 1.4-liter turbo engine are affected.
No recall has been issued on cars already sold.
The news comes as GM deals with a recall of 1.6-million small cars due to an ignition switch flaw.
The Chevy Cruze is GM's best selling car in the US.
