LUBBOCK-- Four local residents – three from Lubbock and one from Wolfforth – were indicted Tuesday for a particularly cruel aggravated robbery case.  A police report said on the night of June 1, four people assaulted and stole property from John Cano, 31.

Christopher Paul Andrade, 33, Kimbra Quan Andrade, 36, Mark Anthony Cardona, 28 and Derek Nathaniel Fias, 33, were indicted.

Prosecutors said the four confronted Cano for a drug debt and when he could not pay, they burned his head with a metal meth pipe.  Prosecutors also said the four “zapped” his testicles with a pair of electric jumper cables.  Then they let him go ostensibly to go get the money, but he passed out from his injuries.  Once someone called to get him help police were able to begin investigating what happened.

Prosecutors said the four defendants took his cell phone – making it a robbery case.  All four were arrested even before the grand jury indictment.
