Former Wichita Falls Family Killed in Plane Crash Near Ranger

Family and friends will say goodbye this weekend to a former Wichita Falls family killed in a small plane crash last weekend near Ranger, Texas.
WICHITA FALLS, TX -- Family and friends will say goodbye this weekend to a former Wichita Falls family killed in a small plane crash last weekend. 

Courtney Weaver, 33, attended Wichita Falls High School in the 90's. She was currently working in Houston.

Her parents, John and Debi Weaver of Granbury, were also killed in the crash. 

Federal Aviation Administration officials say the single-engine plane crashed after taking off from Cook Canyon Ranch Airport near Ranger, about 85 miles away. The crash happened around midnight Saturday in a wooded area and the cause remains under investigation. The plane was a Lancair LC 40.

Visitation is Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington. A combined funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 am at Trinity United Methodist Church in Arlington.
