Former Officer of the Year Will Not Face Charges

Former Amarillo Police Officer of the Year Dewayne Griffin will not face any charges following an internal investigation into missing pills from evidence.

AMARILLO -- Former Amarillo Police Officer of the Year Dewayne Griffin will not face any charges following an internal investigation into missing pills from evidence.

A Randall County grand jury decided to no-bill Griffin today.

This despite prosecutors saying they believe Griffin was responsible for the missing pills and say that his resignation from the department came after he failed a polygraph test during the investigation.
