Food Prices Rising Due To Drought

With a severe drought ravaging farms across most of California, experts say prices could rise even more.
Beef prices are at their highest level in two decades.

The cost of ground beef has hit $3.55 a pound, according to February government readings.

That's up 56-percent since 2010.

The average for round steak is at $5.28.

The cost of other staples, such as milk, butter, eggs, fruit and vegetables are also climbing.
