AMARILLO -– During a traffic stop on I-40 Thursday, DPS seized over 11 pounds of methamphetamine, worth over $408,000.
At 1:32 p.m., a DPS trooper pulled over a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero traveling eastbound on I-40, for a traffic violation, near Conway in Carson County.
During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered over 11 pounds of liquid methamphetamine in the windshield washer reservoir.
Cesar Resendez, 35, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Carson County Jail.
The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Los Angeles to Nashville, Tennessee.
