The Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science and Megalodon: Largest Shark that Ever Lived traveling exhibits open to the public on Saturday, September 28th and will be on display through January 5, 2014. Both of these exhibits have primarily been displayed in museums in highly-populated metropolitan areas and offer residents from our five-state region a unique opportunity to see a real human mummy and Egyptian artifacts in addition to replicas of sharks including a 60-foot-long sculpture of Megalodon. In addition, the Discovery Center will promote the exhibits to the tourist markets, which should be a boon to the Amarillo economy.
