(NBC News) Rescuers continue to comb through the rubble left by Wednesday's apartment building explosion and collapse in East Harlem.
Seven are dead; five others are still missing.
Firefighters are working methodically, removing brick by brick, searching for anyone who might still be trapped underneath.
Cold temperatures and high winds are slowing the effort, reigniting hot spots and sending thick smoke through the neighborhood.
