Here's some good news for all you coffee-lovers out there.
A new study suggests increasing you coffee consumption may decrease the risk for type two diabetes.
The study was published in the journal Diabetologia and looked at the coffee drinking habits of 120,000 people over a four-year period.
Researchers found people who upped their consumption by more than a cup a day had an 11 percent lower risk of type two diabetes compared with people who didn't change how much they drank.
Decreasing coffee consumption by more than a cup a day was associated with a 17 percent increased risk of the condition.
Researchers say up to six cups a day is associated with lower risk though they aren't sure exactly why.
It's important to note, the study did not look at lattes and other specialty drinks only the simple eight-ounce cup of black coffee with milk and sugar.
