Center City of Amarillo Receives 2014 National Main Street Accreditation

“Center City is proud to be among the nationally recognized cities for Main Street achievement,” said Beth Duke, executive director for Center City.

AMARILLO -- National Main Street Center has accredited Center City of Amarillo as a National Main Street Program for meeting the commercial district revitalization performance standards.

Each year, the National Main Street Center and its partners announce the list of accredited Main Street programs in recognition of their exemplary commitment to historic preservation and community revitalization through the Main Street Four Point Approach®.

“Center City is proud to be among the nationally recognized cities for Main Street achievement.  This accreditation shows that we meet or exceed all standards set for Main Street programs.  Our downtown has come a long way in the last few years through the hard work of our downtown partners, Center City volunteers and our board of directors.  With everyone’s help, the future looks bright for downtown,” said Beth Duke, executive director for Center City.
