Buffalo Men’s Soccer Begins 2014 Ranked 25th in NSCAA Preseason Poll

Coming off a strong 2013 campaign, the West Texas A&M men’s soccer team is tabbed 25th in the nation in this year’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Continental Tire NCAA Division II Preseason National Rankings.

KANSAS CITY – Coming off a strong 2013 campaign, the West Texas A&M men’s soccer team is tabbed 25th in the nation in this year’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Continental Tire NCAA Division II Preseason National Rankings, which was announced earlier Thursdayafternoon.

 

WT will head into the fall for its second season playing as an independent men’s soccer team without a conference. Last year, the Buffs played to an impressive 12-3-1 record and reached as high as fifth in the NSCAA National Rankings.

 

The Buffs will play four matches against two teams also represented in the top-25. Their first will be a home matchup against No. 23 Fort Hays State at The Pitch on Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. They will then travel to No. 12 Midwestern State on Oct. 11. The Buffs will complete both series in their final home game of the season against MSU on Oct. 30 and at FHSU on Nov. 2.

 

On Sept. 5, the Buffs will open up their season at home as they face regional rival Colorado School of Mines at 7 p.m. Live stats and video streaming will be available for all home games in 2014 onwww.GoBuffsGo.com.
