AMARILLO -- A partner family with Amarillo Habitat for Humanity is getting their new house today.
The family is moving into their newly constructed home, where they will raise their six children as first time homeowners.
The family is moving from a three bedroom apartment they currently share, into their new five bedroom home will be a blessing because they will have more space to spend time as a family.
The family moved to Amarillo from Burundi.
After becoming a partner family, the husband and wife worked to complete over 600 sweat-equity hours, made the down-payment on their home, and have attended financial stability classes through the Habitat Program.
