Bell Helicopter Accused of Overcharging

According to the Department of Defense, the Defense Logistics Agency or DLA potentially overpaid Bell about $9-million for spare parts.

AMARILLO -- Bell Helicopter is accused of overcharging the US Government.

According to the Department of Defense, the Defense Logistics Agency or DLA potentially overpaid Bell about $9-million for spare parts.

They say that happened under their current contract with Bell.

Officials say the contracting officer did not perform a good analysis when selling the parts.

They say if overcharging continues the DLA could pay another $2.6-million over the next 12-months on future orders.

Bell Helicopter has yet to respond to these allegations.
