July 4, Saturday Morning Forecast

Good Saturday morning everyone.
Good Saturday morning everyone, and Happy Fourth of July!  A very slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue as a weak frontal boundary remains draped across the region.  Northwest flow aloft will also play a role with mountain convection drifting this way later tonight.  Brief downpours, sudden gusty winds, and pockets of small hail will be the main hazards.  The chance for rain at any one location will be roughly 20 percent.  Don't cancel any outdoor plans, but be ready to seek shelter if a storm is close to your location.  Lightning is always a concern.  Now in saying this, it appears that this spotty convection shouldn't disrupt any fireworks displays tonight.  Temperature wise; today will stay relatively pleasant with highs in the 80s and low 90s.  By tomorrow, hotter weather will return with a mix of 90s, and even a few low 100s.  But no worries, cooler conditions, and a chance for rain, may be back as early as Monday and Tuesday.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend everyone.
