Hello folks and good Tuesday morning. Thunderstorms continue in the area but they are much weaker than what came our way last night. Lightning and occasionally heavy downpours will be the biggest threats this morning.
Temperatures outside are in the 50s and 60s with a light breeze from the southeast, so grab your jackets as you're heading out.
Today will be more sunny for those of us in the western Texas Panhandle while those to the east will have a shot at showers and storms. There will be a chance for large hail and strong straight-line winds but the tornado threat will be extremely low. Thunderstorms will pop up east of Clarendon for the afternoon and make their way toward Oklahoma by the evening.
Highs will reach the 70s and 80s again today, with breezy southwest winds.
For the first day of October, we'll keep around the sunny and breezy weather but say goodbye to any rain, as highs come up a few degrees.
By Thursday, things change again, and another cold front comes our way, this time to bring us back to the 60s with cooler fall-time showers.
Warmer conditions take over for Friday and this weekend.
Make it a great day!
