January 31, Saturday Morning Forecast

Good Saturday morning everyone.
Text Size:
Good Saturday morning everyone.  With an expansive area of low pressure aloft drifting this way from the southwest, rain and snow chances will continue.  As of this writing, rain will be the predominant weather type for the event with minor accumulations of snow.  Our western counties along the New Mexico and Texas State Line could see upwards of 4 inches, while farther east into our central counties (including Amarillo), lesser amounts look plausible.  The mix of snow and rain will continue into early tomorrow morning before winding down.  Daytime temperatures for today will hover in the mid to upper 30s, while Tomorrow (February 1), will see a blend of 30s and 40s.  Monday through Wednesday will witness a moderate warming trend with highs back in the 50s and low 60s.

In the end, keep the umbrellas handy, while at the same time, staying cognizant of potentially hazardous wintry conditions, as we travel into the weekend.
