(NBC News) Hundreds of firefighters are working around the clock to gain control of a massive wildfire near Flagstaff, Arizona.
The blaze is being fueled by dry, hot temperatures and strong winds.
Crews hope a fire line will hold back the walls of flames that have already destroyed more than 5,000 acres and continues to burn out of control.
So far the wildfire hasn't reached any homes, but more than 3,000 are under threat.
Evacuation orders have gone out to those living in the potential burn zone.
