One area store is gaining national recognititon for its fundraising efforts for the Children's Miracle Network, and it all started with banana bread.
"I've got customers that drive all the way from the west coast to the east coast for the bread. So they love the bread. They think that it's a wonderful thing that we're doing," Steve Nichols, General Manager of the Love's Travel Stop in Conway said.
Selling that banana bread has helped the Love's in Conway become the top fundraising store in the nation for CMN.
Last year the 14 Love's in the Panhandle raised more than $50,000 for the charity.
This year, the Conway store has raised more than $30,000 on its own.
But it's not just loaves of banana bread for this Love's anymore. They've expanded the fundraiser to include a raffle and a daily cookout of hot dogs and hamburgers.
The staff is dedicated, the customers love it, and it all goes back to the kids.
"All of the fundraising dollars that we raise locally, stay locally, so we're helping families in our area," Jodi Reid, Program Director for CMN said.
Our area CMN will receive lots of help this fall, from stores the like this one. The fundraiser continues throughout the day Monday, so you can still head out to an area Love's and buy a paper heart for CMN.
