Amarillo Studentss Win DECA Competition

The kids now move on to the state DECA conference in Dallas.
AMARILLO -- Congratulations to some outstanding students from Amarillo and Tascosa High School.

The students came in first in the district DECA competition on Friday at Wayland Baptist University.

They came out on top on competency-based events.

They specialize from business and merchandising to hospitality and tourism.

The kids now move on to the state DECA conference in Dallas.

Students Competed in These Events:
  • Cierra Bragg and Mohammed Hossain, from Tascosa, were in Business and Merchandising Operations Research
  • Kensi Syvroraraj, from Amarillo High, was in Financial Operations and Research
  • Kasea Guston and Aryn Watson, from Tascosa, were in Hospitality and Tourism Team Decision Making
