Amarillo Police Investigate Shooting

Amarillo Police were called to a shooting at the 1700 block of S. Lincoln around 11 pm Tuesday night.

While en route, they received additional information that the victim on scene had a gunshot wound. At the scene officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators learned that two men and a woman came to the home and asked to speak to the victim. When the victim stepped outside, the suspects fires a least five shots. At least one of those shots hit the victim's lower leg. Officers found five 10mm caliber cartridge casings on scene. 

The suspect that fired the shot was a male about six feet tall, with a slim build.  He had a beard and a mustache.  He was wearing a gray hooded jacket.  He and the other two people may have left the area in a white four-door vehicle.  No arrests have been made.
