Amarillo CVC Staff Receive Education Recognition

Two Amarillo Convention and Visitor Council staff members received special educational recognition at the annual meeting of the Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus.
AMARILLO -- Two Amarillo Convention and Visitor Council staff members received special educational recognition at the annual meeting of the Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus in Clear Lake, Texas.

The Texas Destination Marketing Certification Program has eight areas of study;  Texas Heritage/Cultural Tourism, Administration/finance, communications/technology, group sales, group servicing, marketing, tourism sales and visitor services. The title Texas Destination Marketer, is presented after six of the eight disciplines are completed.

Dan Quandt, Amarillo CVC Vice President, achieved the designation of Texas Destination Marketer, having completed all eight disciplines of study.  Dan has been involved in CVC management for over 32 years, the last two years in Amarillo.

Tina Brohlin, Amarillo CVC Director of Convention Sales, received certificates for successful completion of courses in marketing, group sales and administration/finance.
