President Obama meets with Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk to discuss the deepening crisis in Ukraine.
(NBC News)  With Ukraine's Prime Minister by his side, President Obama issued a warning to Russia Wednesday.

"If it continues on the path it is on, then not only is the internatioanal community, the European Union and others, will be forced to apply a cost," Mr. Obama said.

With its forces already in control of Crimea, Russia is pushing for an election Sunday that could separate the region from Ukraine.

The G7 nations are demanding Russia pull back or face consequences, and U.S. lawmakers are considering new economic sanctions.
