AMARILLO -- It's been 94 years since the 19th amendment passed granting women the right to vote.
And local women today are commemorating the historic passage.
The 5th Annual Lousie Daniel Women's History Luncheon took place today.
The event honors elected women officials, past and present here on the high plains.
The luncheon is held annually near the end of August to coincide with Womens Equality day.
Women's Equality Day is August 26.
