CLOVIS -- An elderly New Mexico man dies from a West Nile virus infection. The New Mexico Department of health says the man died in Curry County from Encephalitis. Health officials say that's the more severe form of the disease. This is the first West Nile death this year in New Mexico. Officials say there is a second confirmed case, 66-year old woman is recovering.
