Cornyn Slams White House For Refusal to Bring Transparency to Obamacare

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued a statement after the White House stated it would oppose a bill by U.S. Representative Lee Terry (R-NE) that would require Congress to receive weekly updates on Obamacare.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after the White House stated it would oppose a bill by U.S. Representative Lee Terry (R-NE) that would require Congress to receive weekly updates on Obamacare.  The White House said it was cost prohibitive, despite receiving a CBO cost score of zero.

“After everything that has gone wrong with Obamacare, the very least this Administration can do is commit to providing Americans with regular updates on the program.  I find it incredible that President Obama, who promised to run the most transparent Administration in history, has the audacity to refuse additional transparency measures for a program that is in such obvious need of oversight and review.”
