CLOVIS -- Michael Davis, 35, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after entering an Alford plea to two counts of criminal sexual contact of a child.
In July of 2012, a family member reported to the Clovis Police Department that two minor females had disclosed inappropriate touching by Davis. Upon further investigation by the Clovis Police Department, it was learned that Davis had sexually abused the girls for the past three years. Davis was arrested on July 11, 2012.
The charges are serious violent offenses which requires 85% of the 10 years be served in prison.
When released, Davis will be required to register as a lifetime sex offender and must serve 5 to 20 years of intensely supervised probation with the Adult Probation and Parole Division of the New Mexico Department of Corrections.
