Meteorologist, Chris Martin, joins us to make bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers.

Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos

 

1 package of cream cheese

1 package of normal-cut bacon

10 jalapeno peppers

20 toothpicks

 

(makes 20 bacon wrapped jalapenos)


Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Place the toothpicks in water to soak

Wash jalapenos

Cut off stem end of jalapenos

Slice jalapenos in half

Clean out membrane and seeds to heat preference (use a spoon) Wash jalapeno halves Spoon cream cheese into each jalapeno half, even out Slice bacon in half Wrap bacon around cream cheese filled jalapeno and use toothpick to keep the item in place Bake for 20 to 25 minutes (for well done bacon bake for 30 minutes or until crispy) After baking, allow jalapenos to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
