The CDC is urging the public to get flu shots as the flu season picks up.
They say last year's flu season was one of the worst in flu season, sending more than 3,000 people to the hospital and killing 169 children.
They say despite these numbers the vaccine helped to prevent millions of people from getting sick.
However, only 40 percent of people ages six and older get the shot.
They say it's too soon to predict this season's outcome, so they advise you to get your shot while supplies are still high.
