Casey Berry- "I Lie"

Casey Berry and the Live Texas Mosquitoes have had a stellar year! Their single release "Whole Heart" with Smith Entertainment, fought its way up the Texas Music Chart and Texas Regional Radio Chart finally peaking in the twenties and being one of the most played songs in Texas in 2011! Casey, a vetran on the Texas Music scene managed to grab a coveted spot on the World Famous Larry Joe Taylor Music festival, grabbing the attention of promoters and peers alike! Casey and his band, the Live Texas mosquitoes, were nominated to participate in the first Live at Billy Bobs Recording Contest! Their fans pushed them into grabbing a Top Ten finalist spot by rallying in an online voting campaign! The success of the contest left them as fan favorite placing them sharing festival stages with Marshall Tucker, Matt Martindale, Larry Joe Taylor, Charlie Shafter, Joe Ely, Casey Donahew, Ely Young, Marshall Tucker, Tejas Brothers, Gary P. Nunn, and Dirty River Boys!

The band started in early 2003 based on Casey's songs and four veteran musicians! It was kick started by a then up and coming band called Cooder Graw! They played on the self released album " Gleam of Hope " for Casey and dragged them around to all the foot holds they had made in Texas! It wasn't until 2007 that the band really made an impact on the scene! Cooder Graw was disbanding and Matt Martindale stepped in to produce the second record, " Vintage" Vintage was released through Smith Entertainment and enjoyed lots of success on Texas and Oklahoma radio. Placing two singles in the top 30 on the Texas Music Chart! This landed the Casey a deal with a renowned booking agency called Austin Universal Entertainment! The band toured relentless for the next year. Playing every club in Texas, including the stages of The House of Blues, and The Austin State Fair and Rodeo! Also, stepping in to be the backing band for Matt Martindale on occasion!

Now armed with a catalog of crowd favorites including their hit single " Whole Heart"! Casey is back at it! Preparing the release of the new single " I Lie" for radio! " I lie " has all the makings of being another Texas favorite produced by repeat producer Roger Hodges and having input from LLoyd Maines and Brad Rice!

When asked what music moves you, Casey answered, "I like a lot of music, but the music that never leaves my iPod are the artists that have been influential in my writing-- Steve Earle, Joe Ely,Scott Miller, Bob Dylan, Cooder Graw, Reckless Kelly and Jack Ingam. There is something about all those guys that pushes me to write better music. I'm not sure if you can hear them in my music but I hope so!"
