The Caprock Longhorns have a milestone to celebrate. The school is turning 50 this year and will be holding activities during Homecoming Week. The campus has been decorated with pictures from the 1964 yearbook and the Commons area has received a brand new display case, which houses pictures of the school's Distinguished Alumni. They will be honored in a ceremony that week and will add a few more to their number: Potter County Commissioner Mercy Murguia and former Caprock Coach Mike Lozano. There will also be an evening Homecoming Parade, which will show off floats made by student clubs, the sports teams, and the graduating classes.
